Food Science and Technology Competence Centre

Food Science and Technology Competence Centre was opened in December 2010; it is an integral part of integrated centre (valley) of science, studies and entrepreneurship "Nemunas".

Kaunas University of Technology and Institute of Gardening and Horticulture at Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry established a modern Food Science and Technology Competence Centre in 2010. Food Science and Technology Competence Centre (FSTCC) is the first such centre in the Baltic countries, equipped with unique pilot equipment for food industry. Combination of production and most modern analytical equipment enables modelling and optimization of industrial processes in food production and storage, identification and assessment of critical points in processes.

Our vision is reflected in the title of the centre – Lithuanian Food Science and Technology Competence Centre.

Our mission – to assist industrial companies in development of food production technologies, using national intellectual resources, to look for rational solutions for production issues.

For convenience of the customer we provide the following contract templates:

Confidentiality agreement – it is made before signing of the contract on scientific work or research. This contract is signed to ensure that information, which customers provide to the centre's employees while discussing the possibilities of performance of the ordered work, will not be disclosed to the third parties. Confidentiality agreement does not oblige the customer to order scientific work or otherwise continue cooperation.

Contract on scientific work/research is made, when ordering scientific or analytical work at the centre. This contract, as well as accompanying documents: work assignment and work performance schedule, is the main document, describing and regulating cooperation between the parties until the end of the contract validity period.
