The Students‘ Conference “Mathematics and Natural Sciences: Theory and Applications”, organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Kaunas University of Technology, and students‘ union FUMSA, invites students of mathematics, physics and materials science to present their scientific research. Participants not only from KTU, but other universities and countries share their research and present it to an audience. We encourage interested students to register and attend the Students‘ Conference “Mathematics and Natural Sciences: Theory and Applications”.

Requirements for participants

The duration of the presentation should be 10-15 min. The recommended format is 10 min for presentation and 5 minutes for questions. Participants can present in ppt or PDF formats. The files must be uploaded from 9:30 until the start of the conference. We recommend to make a short introduction about the area of research.

The certificate of attendance can be issued to everyone who attends the entire conference, checks in and registers at The registration is open until 21st of April.

The conference is organised by students' representative organisation "FUMSA"

The conference has been organized since 1996. The author of the initial idea was professor A. Aksomaitis. He and some go-ahead students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences translated the idea into actions. The Association of Lithuanian Mathematicians and the Student's organization FUMSA, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, also take active part in organizing the Conference. It's an annual conference. This Conference is the fourteenth in turn, and we expect even more participants and reports. Our aims are as follows: stimulation of students' interest in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, propagation of friendly ties among the students from different universities and countries, fruitful discussion of problems of Mathematics, Physics, Biology and other Natural Sciences. All students are welcome.  

Conference material

We plan to issue the Conference proceedings before the Conference, and we ask to send us the file of the report paying attention to requirements described below:
  • Not more than two pages and not more than 1 MB filesize.
  • Extension of the file should be *.doc or *.rtf.
  • Conference reports` languages: Lithuanian, English, Russian.
