Warm welcome to the first international students coming for Autumn Semester 2017, who have already signed study agreements with KTU. Please, take part in as many Welcome Week events as you can, and do not miss the opportunity to get to know your new university and friends.

Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) has received more than 1,060 applications from overseas students for the academic year 2017/2018. This number grew by almost 60 percent from the last year.

245 students have already been invited to study. 6 KTU international master’s studies students have received the State scholarship for studies.

KTU employs the same benchmark admission requirements for foreign and for Lithuanian students; the applicants are being tested for their general knowledge, motivation and English skills.

Around 150 degree and around 140 exchange students from more than 25 countries will start their studies at KTU this autumn. This year the geography of degree students has expanded: KTU is welcoming students from such countries as Taiwan, Canada, Ecuador, Cyprus, Guatemala, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil and Philippines.

The majority of exchange students are coming from Germany, Italy, Spain, France and Turkey. Also, KTU is very popular among Balkan countries, such as Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Slovenia.
