According to the representatives of the company, Kaunas talent pool was one of the key elements for making the decision.

“In Kaunas we find the experience, expertise and professional culture needed to build a financial competency cluster meeting our current and future requirements. Access to local talent was a key reason for choosing Kaunas over other European cities,” says Poul Erik Stockfleth, Vice President, Head of Group Finance at NKT.

“Active support, continuous development of relationships with business has been one of the University's priorities for several years. Arrival of globally strong companies to Kaunas is not only an excellent assessment of our work, but also a new goal and opportunity to strive for quality through the development of skilled, internationally-qualified specialists, to exploit the scientific potential of our University”, says Jurgita Šiugždinienė Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) Rector Ad Interim.

NKT is a leading power cable provider connecting the world with a wide portfolio of cables within such areas as construction, energy distribution. The company employs more than 3,400 employees, and in 2016 reported a revenue of €1 billion.
